The Public Affairs Environment sub-committee identifies the local business impact of environmental policies at all areas of government.

Support construction of a 35,000 cubic feet per second diversion for permanent flood protection for the metropolitan area

Support legislation that fosters voluntary develpment and use of renewable energy sources

Support additions to regional electric energy supply and transmission systems

Support legislation that provides for adequate, reliable water supply for businesses, residents and communities in the Red River Valley

Support efforts to decrease growth of enery demand though efficiency measures

Support establishing a polifcy to address climate change issues at the nation level, providing for impact on local and regional economies

Ensure adequate water, power, infrastructure and workforce for communities in which energy development occures
